Fabric guide

Print behaves differently on each weave. This page is what to expect from the fabrics this catalogue actually uses.

What a fabric claim is worth

Fibre content is a labelling matter, not a marketing one: what the sewn-in label says is the claim that carries legal weight, and the maker has to hold a basis for it before the sale. We reproduce what the product publishes and do not upgrade it — no site should turn "microfibre" into "silky cotton-feel luxury weave" and hope you read it as cotton.

The certification people ask about

OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 is the textile-safety label most often raised in this category. It certifies that a specific tested article — thread, button and accessory included — has passed testing against a list of over a thousand harmful substances, with stricter limits the more skin contact a product has, which puts bedding in a demanding class. It is granted per article and its number can be checked in the issuer's own register, so treat a certificate number as something to verify rather than a mood.

STANDARD 100 — the textile safety certification

STANDARD 100 certifies that every component of an article — thread, button and accessory included — has been tested against a list of over 1,000 harmful substances.

The requirements tighten as skin contact increases, so bedding sits in a stricter class than an outer garment.

The certificate belongs to a specific tested article and its number can be checked in the issuer’s own label-check register.
