Guide 02
Comforter, duvet, quilt
The same print in this catalogue often exists as three different objects. They differ in weight, in laundry and in what arrives in the box.
| Form | What arrives | Weight | Laundry | In stock here |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Comforter set | A filled comforter plus shams | Warm, one piece | Whole thing in the machine | 1208 |
| Duvet cover set | A cover and cases, no filling | Whatever insert you own | Cover only, so it is light | 374 |
| Quilt set | A stitched-through quilt plus shams | Thin, summer or a layer | Whole thing, dries fast | 199 |
| Sheet set | Flat, fitted and cases | Next to skin | Weekly | 183 |
How to choose between them
Pick the comforter set if you want one decision and one object. Pick the duvet cover if you already own an insert, if you change your mind about pictures often, or if your machine struggles with a filled comforter — a cover washes like a bedsheet. Pick the quilt if your summers are warm or if you layer.
One honest note about the middle option: a duvet cover set arrives without filling. Every cover on this site says so on its own page, because it is the single most common surprise in this category.
