How we read ratings
Every rating on this site is a pool for a design, shared across its sizes and colourways, printed with its count.
Ratings arrive pooled, because buyers review a design rather than a SKU: the queen and the twin of one print share a figure. We show that pool as it stands and print the count beside it, since 4.6 across nine ratings and 4.6 across nine hundred are different facts wearing the same number.
One thing to be precise about, because this library is large: we confirm rating pools in batches rather than all at once. 362 designs currently show a confirmed pool here, 97 of them with three hundred ratings or more. A design showing no rating has not had its pool confirmed by us yet — it does not mean nobody has rated it, and we would rather say that plainly than let a blank imply something it should not.
What we do not do
- We do not write reviews, and there are no invented testimonials anywhere on this site.
- We do not quote review text as though it were our own testing.
- We do not reorder a page to bury a weak rating, or hide a design because its pool is small.
- We do not translate stars into adjectives. A number with its count is more use to you than our enthusiasm.
